Robotic Gait Trainer or robotic assisted walking is a cutting-edge technology used in the rehabilitation of neurological injuries and conditions like spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, and cerebral palsy. The entire process of progress is highly monitored by a team of experienced physiatrist.

The advantage of the Robotic Gait Trainer with body weight support is superior to conventional walking, since the number of repetitions of standing and swinging leg cycles is generally greater. This is especially designed for training and rehabilitating gait-impaired patients. With this advanced and cutting-edge technology, physiatrists have the ability to quickly and conveniently redistribute the weight with the o­-loading system that enables the patient to focus on coordination without running the risk of falling.

For any neurological disorder, the team ‑first goes for a complete assessment and charts the goals for rehabilitation. Periodic reassessments by the Physiatrists is done to ensure that the appropriate interventions are done at the right time so that the recovery is faster. Rehabilitation begins from the first day of injury or the onset of the disease. There are rehab medications which have proven to improve the responses of the patient and that has pointed towards other indications. For complications which delay recovery, multiple interventions may be required including ultrasound-guided botulinum toxin injections. With individualized treatment plans, we aim at restoring health and ability, in minimum possible time.
